5 Ways to Promote a Free Call or Webinar

Online trainingHaving a teleseminar or webinar as part of a launch is effective in creating buzz and interest in what you have to offer. Plus, it’s also a great way to build your list. They really do work!

If I lost you at webinar, don’t worry… let me offer a simple overview before getting to the tips.

A teleseminar is done over the phone. You invite people to a conference line (giving them a phone number and access code).

A webinar is much like a teleseminar but it incorporates a visual aspect like a presentation or screen sharing. Think of it like you’re at the front of the room presenting but the audience is watching and listening through their computers. To host a webinar, software is required to allow you to broadcast, interact and record.

Having a teleseminar or webinar is a cost-effective way to help you connect with your audience and increase sales.

The key is that you have to promote, promote, promote to get people to sign up.

Here are some tried and true ways that you can use to fill your call or webinar:

1. Post on social media. One or two posts is NOT enough. Hint: Images get more attention.

2. Guest post on other people’s blogs. Like this one I did!

3. Use hashtags on Facebook and Twitter that directly relate to your content.  Hashtags allow your content to be found by new people interested in the keyword or topic.

4. If you send out an ezine or newsletter, mention it there!

5. Send solo email broadcasts to your list about your free call or webinar

Try some or all of these tips and see what works best for you. More to come!
