Inspiring Women in my Business (and Life)

International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on March 8.

I find other female entrepreneurs to be particularly inspiring, as I know firsthand the effort and drive it takes to profitably run a small business. And I also know the guts it takes to share your gifts with the world. I believe all women entrepreneurs have the power to make big changes in the lives of their clients, and in turn those clients’ families and their respective communities. It’s not something we always think about, but take a quick look around you and know that this is true.

Today, I’d like to share with you about some women who have inspired me in many ways. I’ve never met these women in “real life”, but they have made big impacts on my life and my business! I feel inspired to share them with you.

Here are women I celebrate this International Women’s Day…

Margie Bieswanger

Margie Bieswanger

Margie is a business coach and mentor who helps solopreneurs create signature programs from their expertise. Last year, she came recommended to me and I was instantly attracted to the way she treats her prospects and her clients. I have found her to be a genuine and honest person who works with integrity and who demands that her work (and yours!) be of the highest quality. She has helped me flesh out ideas, implement, and strategize. I count on Margie as my mentor, and truly value her insights and unique perspective. She has become a role model to me. Margie’s website is transformyourbrilliance.com.

Lisa McDonell

Lisa McDonell

Lisa is a Technical Virtual Assistant and provides coaching to new Virtual Assistants. She’s also my accountability partner. I love Lisa! We talk every other week and let me tell you, she truly gets it! She gets online business. I have been inspired by Lisa’s consistency and have benefited from her encouragement and support. When I talk with Lisa, I feel listened to and that she really understands. When I met her online, I knew right away that she was serious and dedicated to her business. She’s helped me on projects, and it was like having a clone – I could trust her. Lisa is a very smart entrepreneur (her title of “The Brainy Gal” is right on). Not to mention, she’s very witty! I’ve come to really respect her and her business smarts. It’s too bad that her private practice is full – or I would send many women her way! You can find Lisa at thebrainygal.com.

Amy Pearson

EK Amy

Amy is a master certified life coach, a coach mentor, and an instructor for Martha Beck’s life coach training. Her company is called Live Brazen and she lives up to that name! I have worked on many projects with Amy and have learned a lot from seeing her in action. Not only is Amy “brazen”, but she is also very serious about her business. She doesn’t hesitate in taking lots of action. She makes her clients a priority, and is constantly experimenting with her marketing. It’s inspirational to see this mom of 3 little ones work at her business so diligently and make her time really count. She describes herself as a former approval addict (with the occasional relapse), who is now addicted to success. I love her message and mission and feel like so many women can benefit from her expertise. Amy’s website is livebrazen.com.

My Clients: I have to tell you, I have really great clients. They are life coaches, healthy chefs, photographers, writers, virtual assistants, therapists, and more. Each of these women are doing AMAZING things in the world with their businesses! And I am thrilled to be a part of it! My clients inspire me every day and bring meaning to my work. Part of my big “why” is I am so privileged to work with many incredible women who bring their gifts forward, in turn helping other women. And it’s like a ripple effect, (a stone being dropped in a pond) and it is one of the things that makes me love what I do.

This is an honor and a true compliment coming from you. You are an inspiring woman. I see you as the epitome of professionalism and competency. But not only that you are creative and willing to take risks in your business. You have a vision and you are moving towards that. And you take the time to enjoy your life and your son. This is such a great idea for a post — it reminds me of all the women I respect and admire. Thanks for doing your thing.
