Make the Most of Summer in Your Business

Summer Series: Make the Most of Summer in Your BusinessAhhh… summer. How are you going to make the most of summer this year?

For many of my clients, their time is limited with kids home from school and vacations. However, that doesn’t mean that business stops for them! Smart women entrepreneurs know that it can be slower in the summer but they use this season to build their business.

From my experience in online business, I feel strongly that how you spend your summer impacts your success for the rest of the year.

You should definitely take time for summer fun but when you work, work smart.

Do seasons affect your business?

Understanding how the seasons affect your business can help you plan and prioritize.

Summer is an ideal time to get your foundation in place. There is a myth that summer is a slow period for online business. I have found the opposite to be true for me the last two years. The reason is that I am supporting my clients in getting a fall launch in place (and this doesn’t mean that you can’t launch in the summer).

Your focus can be on getting systems in place, growing your list and planning how to build business this fall. It’s not too early in start now! In fact, I am starting to work with entrepreneurs in June to plan out September.

With kids back in school, we are ready to get back into our rhythm. Business owners are looking at what they want to accomplish before the year ends and reflecting on their year’s goals. Traditionally, fall is a time to launch new offerings.

There are many conferences to attend so you want to be clear on your ideal clients, what problem you are solving for them and how your offerings help them to move forward. This clarity will help you talk about what you do at events. If you have worked on your business in the summer, you will be ready to maximize your impact (and your revenue).
