Two Women You Need to Know Who Are Making a Positive Impact

Happy International Women’s Day!

International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on March 8.

I want to tell you about two women who I have appreciated so much and have had the honor of working with and getting to know. These women have made a positive difference for me in my business and they’re dedicated to helping other women become their best.

You likely haven’t heard of these two entrepreneurs – they aren’t necessarily internet famous, but they are both so good at what they do, and I have enjoyed witnessing the difference they’ve made through their work.

The first is Natalie Sperling Williams.

I first connected with Natalie two years ago. I saw her post about powerful coaching conversations in a Facebook group and it caught my attention. I was so intrigued that I scheduled a conversation with her.

When we spoke, I was immediately impressed by how she was so skilled at going deep quickly and creating a space where I felt free to talk. She was there to listen without judging. She was gentle and I just knew that she “got me”. It was a moment that still stands out to me. It’s exactly what coaching should be – this space – almost like a pause in time – where you can have someone help reflect where you’re at and what you are wanting in such as a beautiful way.

Her email signature line expresses it perfectly with this quote: Space is where miracles occur.

Another thing I remember is that I felt like she was fully present and invested in our session even though there was no charge. In fact, she didn’t make a pitch at the end and invited me to another session with her.

Afterwards, she followed up with a simple exercise to help me clarify what I really want in my life (and business since the two are so interconnected).

It’s four questions. You can write non-stop for each question and take a short break in between to refocus. I did this and added to my answers over the next few days. Here are four questions she asked…

1) What do I want and have in my life?
2) What do I have that I don’t want in my life?
3) What do I want in my life that I don’t have?
4) What do I not want in my life that I don’t have?

I encourage you to take some time to answer them for yourself. So simple, but really clarifying if you’re ever not sure of your next step.

We recently connected again and Natalie shared with me that creating a revolution in the coaching industry is part of her mission. After hearing that 90% of coaches struggle to make a living and quit within two years, and that programs have on average only a 3% success rate, she decided she wanted to help lead the change.

Natalie hosts a weekly free call on the Enliven Wednesday Radio Show where she shares insights, stories, strategies, mindset shifts and more, to help you love your life and live your dreams. A couple weeks ago, she hosted a show on setting yourself up for your most successful month yet. And it was fantastic! She asks questions and walks you through an exercise that I know I will be using in my business regularly. You can learn more here.

I’m so grateful to have connected with her and I found her to be an amazing coach. She has given me doable tools to help me be my best self. I wanted to share Natalie with you.

The second is Lindsay Gomez.

I met Lindsay through one of my clients. We hired her as part of the team, and she quickly proved to be a valuable asset. Lindsay is a Virtual Assistant, Online Business Manager, and systems expert. I’ve happily recommended her to my colleagues and clients and that is saying a lot! I’ve worked with many online support people over the last 5+ years and seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. And Lindsay stands out way above them all.

If you’ve worked with anyone on your team, you likely know that it can be hard to trust and give over tasks. Lindsay won me over almost immediately. She’s bright, detail-oriented, responsive, a problem-solver and a self-starter. We’ve done several large launches together, and she has looked after the day-to-day operations of several of my clients’ online coaching businesses. They also all rave about her!

I was able to transition an online coaching businesses that I had been managing to Lindsay without any interruptions or skipping a beat. It was a perfect hand off. And this hadn’t been possible in the past. By doing her great work, she allowed me to transition to doing more of what I love in my own business, and I felt good knowing that she had it all covered.

Last summer, Lindsay participated in my free challenge and committed to putting together her lead magnet (free offer to begin building her list). If you feel like time is slipping away from you every day, or you’re running out of energy before your to-do list is complete, check out Lindsay’s “Become a Productivity Ninja” here. She shares five effective tips that you can put into practice immediately to take back control of your days.

It’s hard to describe just how good both Natalie and Lindsay are at what they do. But I want to thank them for being key in what I’ve been able to create in my business and for supporting me, cheering me on, and showing me what excellence looks like in this online space.

Now, it’s your turn….

I’d love for you to give a shout out to another one or two women in business who you’re grateful to know. You can do this by commenting below (I’d love that!) or just sending a thoughtful message to them to say thank you and let them know. I bet they would love to hear it.

Here are some ideas of women to celebrate in your business:

  • The first client who ever paid you
  • Your top commenter in your Facebook group
  • A student in your group program who participates fully
  • Your mom, sister, or girlfriend who supports your business no matter what
  • A colleague or collaborator who links to your work or sends referrals your way

I hope you’ll see that you don’t have to be internet famous to make an impact on someone else’s life. And you don’t have to go out of your way to show your appreciation or admiration.
